The Lower Belvedere houses temporary exhibitions and the medieval treasure (in the palace stables). This building gives an idea of the majestic setting in which high Viennese aristocracy lived in the 18C, in particular the decors of the Marble Hall, celebrating the triumph of Prince Eugene, or those in the Hall of Grotesques, inspired by the frescoes of Pompeii. As for the Gold Cabinet, it is decorated with mirrors and gilded wood panelling and embellished with porcelain.
