The gateway was rebuilt in the 14C in the Mudéjar style. Allowing entry through the second encircling wall, it opened on two limited horseshoe arches. Visible on the top is a strange sculpture showing two girls carrying a severed head on a tray. The head supposedly belongd to the alguazil, a leader in the town, who was guilty of raping the girls.
