Not far from Ta Prohm temple in Takeo province, the small Yeay Peau temple has been integrated into the modern pagoda that now stands in its place (still in activity). As well as the lovely scenery around Tonlé Bati lake, look for the Buddhist lintel (eastern door) and the beautiful pediment depicting the Hindu god Vishnu in the rear. Like its neighbour, this sanctuary was built by Jayavarman VII, the great "builder-king" of the 12C and architect of Angkor Thom.
