The Michelin Guide's review
One of Quebec's most rugged, varied and beautiful regions! Here, the mountains plunge directly into the mighty St Lawrence and the river becomes a genuine inlet, hence the name "coasts" used to describe the riverbanks. Both rural and unspoiled, the Côte de Charlevoix is dotted with picturesque villages and little seaside resorts, commanding superb views of the river and, when the weather is fine, the Côte du Sud.
