West of Palermo, from Capo Rama to Capo San Vito, the coast forms a wide bay in the Tyrrhenian Sea, with Castellammare del Golfo in the centre. To the east, the coast is lined by seaside resorts that are frequented by hordes of holidaymakers. To the west, though, are footpaths that lead through unspoilt nature, crystalline waters, idyllic creeks, some of which are part of the nature reserve, Riserva Naturale Orientata dello Zingaro. Splendid.
