Notre-Dame Cathedral of Reims
Michelin Guide
Worth the trip
Religious monument
The Michelin Guide's review
Clovis was baptised and the kings of France were crowned in this splendid 13C Gothic cathedral, as remarkable for its dimensions as for its rich and monumental statuary. The stained-glass windows are 13C; those in the apsidal chapel have been replaced by pieces by Chagall. The splendid interior of the façade wall is unique in the history of Gothic architecture. The cathedral has preserved its 15C astronomical clock and each hour triggers two processions of figurines.
