Marshal Bernadotte, whose family lived on the second floor of this traditional pebbledash building, became king of Sweden in 1818 under the name of Charles XIV. The museum housed here has recently been renovated, with the addition of a video room, touch pads and a children's quiz to its collections of paintings, sculptures, objects and period furniture. The result is a visitor experience which is even more enjoyable and exciting than previously.
