The Aspe Valley stretches all the way to the Col de Somport. This rugged but picturesque mountain valley exudes the harmony of an unspoilt natural environment, thanks to its forests where the few remaining bears are protected by the Pyrenees National Park, and its simple villages with their characteristic architectural style. The Écomusée de la Vallée d'Aspe, divided over three sites - Sarrance, Lourdios-Ichère and Borce - aims to give visitors a better understanding of this unique valley, from its pilgrimage history to its traditional and pastoral way of life.
