The Michelin Guide's review
This museum provides an overview of the extraordinary Nancy School decorative arts movement which developed in the city from 1885 onwards. The collection includes inlaid and sculpted wood furniture by Émile Gallé, Louis Majorelle and Eugène Vallin; posters and drawings by Prouvé, Martin and Collin; glasswork by Gallé and the Daum brothers; and stained-glass windows by Gruber. Admire also the lovely dining room by Vallin (the ceiling and wall leather is the work of Prouvé), a stunning ceramic bathroom, and a superb study.
