This castle, built in 1785, was for many years the family seat of Count Antal Brunswick. It is said that one of his children, Ferenc, became friends with Beethoven, to such an extent that he was one of the rare people to be able to use the familiar "you" form with the master. In the castle, the Beethoven Emlékmúzeum provides a reminder of the composer's stays in the house. Restored in 1870, the castle is today neo-Gothic in style. Every summer, concerts are held in the castle grounds on the island in the middle of the lake.
