The garden of this former begijnhof is still lined with its rows of 18C houses where the beguines once lived. Built in the Mosan style with brick and stone walls, the houses are now offices for the services of Limburg province. A modern building houses Z33 House for Contemporary Art, which organises international contemporary art exhibitions. Ivy-clad ruins and a few sculpted stones are all that remain of the church since it was bombed in 1944.
