Its site below the upper town is unusual. From the outer tower you can see the magnificent Guibé, Gobelin and Mélusine towers of the fortifications. Access to the inside is through the square Haye-Saint-Hilaire tower, revealing three successful sets of fortifications and then the lord's dwelling and chapel. An impressive fortress which proved relatively inefficient.
