The Michelin Guide's review
One of Brittany's finest megalithic monuments was erected in purple-coloured schist, possibly in the Middle Neolithic Age (4C BCE). The corridor tomb features 42 stones, of which half a dozen weigh between 40 and 45 tons each. It includes a monumental portico entrance, followed by a low corridor that opens out into a vast, partitioned chamber. Research has shown that the stones were moved over nearly 4 km, although legends tell that fairies carried them here in their aprons!
