The Michelin Guide's review
The foundations of a civil basilica, a public meeting place where justice was meted out, dating from the first centuries of our era, were uncovered during digs. The site features an interactive exhibition that charts several centuries of the history of Dax through Gallo-Roman and Medieval remains (bronzes, earthenware, coins, etc). The treasure is the highlight of the exhibition, featuring lovely bronze Gallo-Roman statuettes.
