Causse de Sauveterre
Michelin Guide
Natural site
The Michelin Guide's review
First of all, a bit of geography: the Causse de Sauveterre is bounded to the west by Sévéracle-Château and to the south by the Tarn gorges. In this territory, which has large, rugged wooded areas, the Caussenards have admirably taken advantage of the slightest "sotch", a depression at the bottom of which lies good arable land. The Sabot de Malepeyre, a 30m-high rock, the houses of the hamlet of Champerboux and the altarpiece of the church are among the highlights to see in the causse.
