Perched high on a hill of the same name, this fortified enclosure still projects its impressive towers skywards, and the remaining walls are enough to give an idea of the extent of this 12C fortification, one of the most important in Navarre. Of its 14 original towers, 9 remain, protecting the fortified church of San Saturnino, built in the 13C and incorporated into the fortress's network of defences.
