Al-Husseini Mosque

The Michelin Guide's review
This mosque (not open to non-Muslim visitors) can be identified by its two slender minarets. In the Ottoman style, albeit reconstructed in 1924 on the site of an ancient sanctuary, it is the holiest site in the city. Around noon on Friday, when the week's main prayers take place, such is the throng that worshippers overflow out into the adjacent square.
