Ajaccio Bay is renowned for its pleasant shores, its serene atmosphere and its harmonious colours. The island's largest and deepest bay, it boasts numerous remarkable sites, scattered about the capital of Corse-du-Sud. Its northern bank, between the Pointe de la Parata and Ajaccio, looks out onto the reddish sentinelles of the Îles Sanguinaires archipelago. The wilder southern bank forms a series of coves and bays which are secluded by rocky peninsulas, each one a fresh invitation to go for a swim or simply to take it all in.
