Virachey National Park

Well worth the diversions
Natural site
The Michelin Guide's review
The vast Virachey National Park (covering over 3,300km²/2,050mi²) lies to the northeast of Cambodia, straddling Vietnam and Laos. This last bastion of jungle in the region, so huge that its species have not yet all been inventoried, acts as the veritable lungs of Ratanakiri. The neighbouring town of Ban Lung has no lack of tourist agencies offering 2-day and more excursions in the park, with a night in the jungle (with a mosquito net).
