The Michelin Guide's review
The largest of the Egadi islands (20km2) resembles a large butterfly resting on the water. The mountainous western part of the island is dominated by Monte Santa, while to the east, the huge calcarenite plateau culminates in low cliffs with extraordinary geometrical shapes. In the centre, the capital Favignana is home to a gem of industrial archaeology, the Ex-Stabilimento Florio (an old tuna factory). The island's most beautiful creeks are situated on the eastern coast.
