The Michelin Guide's review
At the foot of Yufu-dake volcano, Kinrin-ko Lake paints a bucolic portrait in the heart of Yufuin and its hot springs crown the town with a misty halo at dawn. A scenic path hugs the shore from east to south, from Shitanyu public path to the Shinto Tenso shrine, in the heart of Dakemoto park, skirting a small wooden bridge very popular for holiday snapshots. Come evening, the pine and maple trees along the shore are reflected in the still waters when the setting sun catches their leaves.
