The Michelin Guide's review
This triple-nave Gothic church was built in 1500 and much remodelled in the Baroque style between 1735 and 1745. The church is dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul but is also known as Herder's church, in memory of the sermons preached here by the famous philosopher, who is also buried here. Note the famous Cranach Triptych, started by Lucas Cranach the Elder and finished by his son in 1555, and the Renaissance gravestones in the chancel.
