The Michelin Guide's review
Also called the Scuola dei Santi Giorgio e Trifone, this scuola was founded in 1451. Behind its simple façade lies a masterpiece of 16C art - the cycle of Saints George, Tryphon and Jerome painted by Vittore Carpaccio (1502-07). These panels are remarkable for their amber hues, rigorous composition, almost surreal dimension of some scenes, variety of picturesque details borrowed from the East and the extraordinary precision, almost Flemish in style, of some of the scenes.
