The Michelin Guide's review
This majestic cathedral was built in the 12C-13C in the Romanesque-Lombard style. On the facade of the north transept, over the bay, you can meditate in front the allegory of the Wheel of Fortune that determines man's destiny. Inside are the original stairs leading to the towers, the great Christ before which council decrees were proclaimed, the tomb of the Venetian Condottiere Senseverino and, under the chancel are the remains of an Early Christian basilica.
