The Michelin Guide's review
These colossal walls, originally 4km long and of which a little more than 1km remains today, date back to the 3C BC. They stand on a Cyclopean base made up of enormous stone blocks simply stacked one on top of the other. They were transformed in the Middle Ages then again in the 18C. Enjoy a pleasant stroll through the delightful gardens at the foot of the walls.
