Another creation of William Jay, the Regency-style mansion was initially built in 1818 for Alexander Telfair and now houses the Telfair Academy. The noteworthy collection showcases Realist work by members of the Ashcan school, Robert Henri, George Luks and George Bellows, American portraiture, and collections of early-19C furniture and silverware. The neighboring Jepson Center stages temporary exhibitions and contemporary art.
