Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
A small courtyard accessed from both sides of the church, this junction offers a view of the entrance to Rue Galande and Saint-Séverin church that is considered one of the most picturesque in the old section of Paris. An iron well-head stands against the doorway near two Roman paving stones from the old Orléans to Lutétia road. The house of the governor of the Petit Châtelet (at 14 rue Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre) dates back to the 17C.
