Worth the trip
City and village
The Michelin Guide's review
It was around the Île de la Cité that Paris first developed. The historic cradle of the capital, it remains one the city's most popular and attractive districts. It is home to three of its major monuments: notre Dame cathedral, Sainte Chapelle, and the Conciergerie. Make sure you also visit the charming Place Dauphine and the fragrant flower market, and take in the unique spirit of this island, connected to the rest of Paris by nine bridges spanning the Seine.
