The Oranienbaum estate was the summer residence of Prince Menshikov, Peter III and then of Catherine II. Spared by WWII, it is the only estate to still possess authentic 18C edifices of great diversity. Following massive restoration work, the property's former grandeur has been restored. We recommend exploring the Grand Palace, the extravagant Chinese Palace and the Katalnaya Gorka Pavilion (ancestor of the modern roller-coaster).
