The Michelin Guide's review
In a lovely woodland setting, a modern monastery surrounds a tiny all-wood church, where the only light is from the glinting haloes of saints. A path leads through the forest and leads (after 150m) to the miniature Dintr-un Brad chapel ("from a single tree") built in 1763. Further along, the cave of St Theodora, where the saint lived for 20 years in the 17C, is distinguished by several icons. Other than the influx of Sunday pilgrims, squirrels are the only visitors.
