The Michelin Guide's review
Housed in the former Bourget air terminal, built in 1914 for military purposes, this museum showcases the great successes of aeronautics and some extraordinary flying machines. In the former terminal, a jewel of Art Deco, the hangars and on the tarmac, admire examples of the spirit of aviation from Leonardo da Vinci's projects to the conquest of space (life-size Ariane 5 rocket), the first hot-air balloons developed by the Montgolfier brothers, the air force's Mirage jets and even Concorde.
