The Michelin Guide's review
Perched on Mingfeng Hill, the Taoist Golden Temple stands at the top of a flight of steps. Built in 1620 during the Ming period, it was moved a few years later. A new identical building was rebuilt here on the same site in 1671. Dedicated to Zhenwu, the god of the North Star and a symbol of a virtuous ruler, it is remarkable for its architectural style, boasting a pavilion built entirely of bronze, which houses a statue of Zhenwu flanked by the Jade Maiden (Yunü) and the Golden Boy (Jintong).
