The old abbey church, the Kornelimünster, houses five naves dating from the 14C and 16C. The Gothic interior has been decorated in Baroque style. Of particular interest are the high altar by J.-J. Couven, modified in Rococo style, and the fine relics. For a good view of the city and abbey, head to the Romanesque-Gothic church of St Stephen's, which stands on a hill.
