This museum acquaints the visitor with the history of international fashion. French fashion, with dresses from the Napoleonic era and iconic gowns by Dior, Cardin and Saint Laurent, is well showcased. The collections of this futuristic vessel showcase beautiful kimonos, rare fabrics and precious brocades. An extensive library and temporary exhibitions complete the tour. It is perhaps a shame that so little prominence is given to current major Japanese fashion designers.
