The Michelin Guide's review
Set amid the enchanting landscape of the Seine Valley, Jumièges Abbey, a great favourite with 19C romantic artists, is without doubt one of the most beautiful set of ruins of France. Its façade is depicted by two square towers, 46m/150ft-high, which frame an elegant portal that leads into the now open-air but still impressive nave of the church. A digital application enables visitors to see a reconstitution of the edifice and its amazing history spanning destructions, wars and several periods.
