The Michelin Guide's review
This rugged region, whose bare rocks are reminiscent of a quarry, owes its name to Mount Stone at the north of the park (25,690ha/63,450acres). The landscape is both distinctive and stunningly unspoiled. The drive skirts Summit Lake, a highlight of the park, whose green waters are at an altitude of 1,295m, the highest point along the Alaska Highway. It is also the site of a windswept campground.
