Well worth the diversions
Natural site
The Michelin Guide's review
A great classic. The well-marked path starts off above Río Fitz Roy. After 1hr of walking, you reach the Mirador Cerro Torre, a natural belvedere looking over Cerro Solo, Cerro Grande and Cerro Gato, the Adela mountains and Cerro Torre. Another 1hr45, including through copses of lengas, brings you to the Laguna Torre, at the foot of the Glaciar Grande. The most motivated can continue as far as the Mirador Maestri (1hr), for a close-up view of the glacier.
