Ancient Pisidia is a region of lakes, whose waters change from turquoise and deep blue to indigo or stormy grey, or even to gold when the sun catches the jagged peaks of the surrounding Taurus mountains (3,000m). Lake Egirdir is without doubt one of the most beautiful lakes in Turkey. Situated at an altitude of 900m, it forms an S-shape through the mountains, extending for 48km. Egirdir, capital of kilims and hiking, stands on the southern shore of the lake.
