With its wide streets lined with elegant, early 20C abodes, Palermo Viejo, southwest of Plaza Italia, is one of the nicest places to stay in Buenos Aires. It is packed with trendy establishments, creative restaurants and alternative venues, all of which are very popular with the local hipsters. To the west of the railway tracks, the Palermo Hollywood district is home to a TV company and several movie producers.
