The Michelin Guide's review
The heart of the Lipscani district, this eponymous street is depicted by an alignment of facades, some superb, some dilapidated. During the 18C, Jewish and Transylvanian merchants gathered here to sell fabrics from Leipzig (Lipsca in Romanian). Note Hanul cu Tei at n°65 (lime tree inn), a converted inn in a lively passage of antique dealers, art galleries and cafes, as well as the National Bank.
