The Templo da Boa Vontade is fully in keeping with the ongoing sense of mysticism that has surrounded Brasília since its creation. Built in 1989 by the Legião da Boa Vontade - an ecumenical organisation which promotes harmony between all religions - it is the city's most visited monument. The main building takes the form of a seven-sided pyramid. At its summit stands one of the largest crystals ever found in Brazil. An ecumenical service is held daily at 4.30pm in front of the Altar de Deus, a sculpture by Robert Moricon.
