The Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, a historic 106km/65mi route winds through the mountainous Cascades Range, taking in a magnificent landscape of volcanic rock dotted with 14 lakes. When the water is calm, some lakes reflect Mount Bachelor, Broken Top and the Tree Sisters mountains. The beautiful pine forests surrounding the region are prized by hikers during the summer, while the lakes attract anglers and vacationers.
