The Michelin Guide's review
Here is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (in fact two Portuguese soldiers, one killed in France, the other in Africa, during the First World War). The bold 20m-span stone vault is the work of master architect Huguet. The construction was so risky that it was (so the story goes) carried out by by prisoners who were already condemned to death, and that on completion Huguet spent the night alone beneath it. The attractive stained-glass window dates from the early 16C and depicts the Passion.
