This huge complex is comprised of, among others, a conference centre, a hotel and a memorial to the victims of the 1995 earthquake, by Ando Tadao. The tea pavilion hidden within a cylindrical maze of running water and stones, the amphitheatre with fountains and lights and the chapel are all works of art that you can enter and contemplate. Looking down on the complex, Hyakudan Garden is made up of a hundred little squares of plants, laid out in a terrace. Pay a visit to this enchanting spot, rich in scents and colours.
