  The Michelin Guide's review
Set in a regional nature park, Valdu-Niellu Forest is the largest and one of the most beautiful on the island. It carpets the slopes of the cirques, whose streams pour into the upper reservoir of the Golo River, which is dominated by a ridgeline, indented by a few passes, including the Col de Vergio. Staggered over an altitude from 900m to 1,600m, the forest is mainly home to laricio pines, some impressive in stature, particularly near the Maison Forestière de Popaghja.
